Welcome to my website, my name is Michael Delp. I would like to take a few moments to acquaint you with myself and my stockings. I have been involved with the hobby of Living History (or Re-emacting, Rendezvousing or whatever you wish to call it) since 1992. In 1997 I started selling socks at the Living History events that I attended. I became involved in the sock business by accident. I was looking for a source for higher quality stockings than I had seen at events, so I contacted a family member who was in the hosiery business. After some experimenting we created the stocking that I sell now. All of my stockings are made in the USA and with the exception of the Vertically Striped Stockings that I sell, they are all made on antique knitting machines.

Historical Trivia: The knitting machine was invented in 1589 by Reverand William Lee and by the 17th century the Industry of machine knitted stockings was strong in Scotland.
